The United States Mint will begin selling the 2021-W American Eagle Palladium Uncirculated later today. Sales will begin at Noon Eastern, 9:00 AM Pacific on the Mint’s site. There will be just 6,000 of these premium precious metal coins produced, with a household limit of ten coins, and they are expected to have high sales initially, although a sell-out is hard to predict. In previous years, the American Eagle Palladium coin has remained available for upwards of a year after its initial release.
Pricing or the Palladium coin is set at $2150.
The Obverse of the coin features the Winged Liberty Head (or Mercury) Dime design of Adolph A. Weinman, albeit in high relief. The Reverse features a high-relief version of the 1907 American Institute of Architects Gold Medal. Weinman also designed it. Those two designs have been some of the most popular in the history of the United States Mint, adding to the coin’s popularity.
The American Eagle Palladium coin is expected to sell out quickly despite the premium price. With a low production figure, half of what it has been in years past, it is unlikely it will take long for demand to outstrip supply. If you want to add this stunning coin to your collection, it is advised to be on the Mint’s site before 9:00 AM Pacific for your best chance of purchasing it.
