The United States Mint has released its weekly Numismatic Product Sales Report for the seven days ending Sunday, October 22, 2023. The report covers numismatic product sales by the Mint, such as commemorative coins and annual sets. It is separate from the bullion sales report. According to the Mint’s report, 15,104 numismatic products were sold in the past week. This is a significant decrease from sales last week, but equally, there were no new products released in this week’s report window.
The top-selling product for the Mint last week was the 2023 Proof Set. The standard proof set saw sales of 5,255 units, putting its total sales for the year at 312,050. This was followed by the 2023-2 American Eagle silver proof with 2,105 coins sold. Total sales for the latest American Eagle product stand at 182,209. Rounding out the top three was the premium 2023 Silver Proof Set. According to the Mint’s report, 1,925 of the sets were sold last week, putting total sales at 165,801.
In reviewing the top ten selling products for the Mint last week, all but one, the 2022 Uncirculated Proof Set, were releases from this year. The top ten also cover a broad range of products, from proof sets to gold and silver products.
