Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Silver Medal Available February 6th

The United States Mint will open sales for the first Presidential Silver Medal of 2024 next week. The medal, honoring President Rutherford B. Hayes, will be available at Noon Eastern, 9:00 AM Pacific on February 6th. The 99.99% silver medal is priced at $75.00 and is available exclusively from the United States Mint. The Mint has no production limit on this medal, nor is there a household limit on the number that can be purchased.

Rutherford B. Hayes was an American lawyer and politician who served as the 19th president of the United States from 1877 to 1881, after serving in the U.S. House of Representatives and as governor of Ohio.

The obverse (heads) depicts a bust of Rutherford B. Hayes with the inscription “RUTHERFORD B. HAYES.”

The reverse (tails) features a laurel wreath and the inscriptions “PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES” and “INAUGURATED MARCH 5. 1877.”
