The United States Mint has released its weekly Numismatic Product Sales Report for the seven days ending Sunday, April 14, 2024. The report covers numismatic product sales by the Mint, such as commemorative coins and annual sets. It is separate from the bullion sales report. The Mint reported net sales 5,696 products in this week’s report, an over 90% drop from the previous week. This is largely, in part, due to the lack of a release of any new products during the reporting period.
The top seller for the United States Mint last week was the 2024-W American Eagle Silver Proof. The Mint reported 2,193 coins were sold last week, pushing total sales to 238,925 coins overall. The second top seller was the Uncirculated 2023 Peace Dollar, while the 100-Coin bag from Philadelphia of the Alabama American Innovation Dollar rounded out the top three.
The latest Mint release, the Alabama American Innovation Dollar, continued strong sales in its second week of availability.
Of the top ten selling products, four of them were released in 2023, continuing the trend of mixed-year product sales for the Mint. Indeed, of the four 2023 products, three were special releases, such as the afore mentioned Peace Dollar, the 2023-S Morgan Dollar Proof, and the 2023-S Peace Dollar Proof.
The United States Mint’s sales figures are public records and are available weekly. They start from the previous Sunday through to the next seven days. You can find the report each week at this link.
