Maine American Innovation Dollar Bags and Rolls Available May 16th

The latest American Innovation Dollar, honoring Maine, will be available next week. The dollar coin will be available in bags and rolls on May 16, 2024, with sales starting on the Mint’s site at Noon Eastern, 9:00 AM Pacific. As has been the case with previous American Innovation Dollar releases, the Mint has put in place household purchase limits and production limits for each product.

The American Innovation Dollar coin came about through legislation passed in 2018 and is set to run through 2032. There will be 57 coins released in the program, with the first one released on December 14, 2018. However, that coin was an introductory coin to show the coin off to the public and was never released for circulation. So far, the Mint has released 22 of the planned 57 coins. Collectors can buy the coins directly from the Mint in the form of bags, rolls, and annual Proof and Reverse Proof sets.
