The United States Mint will begin selling the 2024-W American Buffalo proof gold coin Today. Sales will begin at Noon Eastern, 9:00 AM Pacific on the United States Mint’s website. The production limit has been set at 16,000 by the Mint, but there is no household limit on the number of coins that can be purchased.
The 2024-W American Buffalo is priced at $3,240.
The West Point minted 24-karat gold coin features designs based on the original 1913 Type I Buffalo nickel designed by James Earle Fraser. It has a $50 face value and is made of 99.999% pure gold. The coin was introduced in 2006 and has become one of the more popular bullion coins from the Mint, in large part to the popular Buffalo nickel design.
