The United States Mint has released its weekly Numismatic Product Sales report for the seven days ending Sunday, September 15, 2024. The report covers the Mint’s numismatic product sales, such as commemorative coins and annual sets. It is separate from the bullion sales report. The Mint reported net sales of 360,948 numismatic products in the last week, making it one of the heaviest sales activity weeks this year. All of the top ten selling products last week were 2024 releases.
Unsurprisingly, the top two selling products were the latest two releases from the Mint: The 2024-S Morgan Dollar Proof and the 2024 Peace Dollar Proof. Both coins topped 160,000 coins sold in their first week of availability, with the Morgan Dollar being the top seller at 177,702 coins sold. The third top seller was the 2024 Proof Set. The annual set added another 6,780 sets to its sales record for the year, pushing total sales beyond 280,000 units (280,272).
