The United States Mint has launched is newly redesigned website this morning. The site, which brings a number of enhancements, combines several of the Mint’s sites into one. The new site has a more modern feel, with easier navigation and larger images of coins and medals.
We’re combining our websites, catalog.usmint.gov and usmint.gov, to streamline and better organize our content. Starting October 30, you can visit https://usmint.gov for coin and medal information and sales, news, and historic and agency information. For educational and youth-oriented content, you can find us at https://kids.usmint.gov.
Some of the many benefits of our new website will include:
- Simpler navigation
- Enhanced order history and subscription pages
- 40% larger coin and medal images
- Improved product schedule layout and navigation
- Improved focus on news and events across the U.S. Mint
- Streamlined and re-organized content
- More interactive elements and features
Existing United States Mint subscribers who have accounts on the Mint’s site do not need to do anything. Your account and all your subscriptions will automatically transfer to the new site.
Readers are encouraged to explore the new site and learn how to navigate it. Overall, in my reviewing of it this morning, it is easier to find common things like product pages, product launch dates, and coin images. Other things, like sales reports, are a little more difficult to find.
The update to the Mint’s website was sorely needed. When comparing the previous site to other global mint’s, it was lacking in promoting new products, images of those products, and overall navigability. This update brings it on par with those other sites, and should be a breath of fresh air for regular visitors of the United States Mint’s site.
I see that there is a new Silver Eagle out there for sale.
The 2024-(P) American Silver Eagle Star Privy.
Is this worth buying?
I mean, I’m a massive fan of any of the privy coins personally. So, if it were me, yes, I’d get it.
