Submit Your Theme for 2025 National Coin Week

The American Numismatic Association (ANA) has opened up a contest to give the 2025 National Coin Week theme a name. The topic fo next year’s Coin Week is “Pop Culture”, and both members and non-members of the ANA can submit suggestions for the theme.

Normally when we think of pop culture, we picture movie stars, superheroes, and music icons.

But pop culture is much more—it’s a mirror of society, reflecting its beliefs, values, actions, and the popular trends of a given time. Beyond entertainment, pop culture has the power to drive social change and raise awareness about important issues, shaping the way the world is seen. Pop culture has been represented in many forms over the years, including numismatics.

For the 2025 National Coin Week, the ANA is asking YOU to provide a title for the general theme of pop culture in numismatics. Consider a catchy title that embraces pop culture and what it means in the hobby throughout history.

Please submit a title that embraces this idea by Monday, November 18. To submit your idea, visit NationalCoinWeek.org. Themes should be short (no more than eight words) and easy to remember.

There is no limit to the number of ideas you can submit; they only need to be submitted one at a time.

National Coin Week celebrates collecting coins, paper money and numismatics, meaning “of coins.” Numismatics refers to the study or collection of currency, including coins, tokens, paper money, etc. The first National Coin Week first took place in February of 1924.
