United States Mint Announced Clad Coins & Sets Price Increases

The United States Mint has announced that it will be increasing prices on clad coins and sets. The new prices will go into effect on January 2, 2025.

The United States Mint works on a cost-recovery basis and our goal is to provide the best quality numismatic products while keeping prices as low as practicable. Unfortunately, due to rising material and labor costs, the United States Mint is raising prices on numismatic clad products.

Effective the morning of January 2, 2025, at 12:00 am ET, product prices for rolls, bags, boxes, and ornaments will increase by 5%, and all other clad products will increase by 15%. Prices for all clad subscription products released after January 2, 2025, will be impacted by this change.

The announcement of price increases for clad coins and sets comes after a similar price increase was announced for silver products in July 2024. In both cases, the rise in material costs is a significant factor. The Mint outlines those increases in their annual reports both in 2023 and 2022.

Readers who want to purchase clad coins or sets at a lower price will need to do so today. The Mint has a wide range of products available from 2024 currently available for purchase.
