A reminder for readers who collect the annual Uncirculated Sets from the US Mint. The 2019 version of the set will go on sale next Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Noon Eastern. The 21-coin set is priced at a $21.95 and you can buy it directly from the Mint here on Tuesday.
And yes, it is 21 coins this year, not the normal 20 of the past few years. The new addition for this year is an uncirculated sample of the 2019 Lincoln Cent from West Point mint. It will carry the “W” mint mark. The Cent is packaged separately from the 10 coin boards that come from the Denver and Philadelphia mints.
The 2019 Uncirculated Set marks the 10th annual release as part of these sets for the America the Beautiful Quarters program. When you buy the set, you will get 5 of the coins from the Denver and Philadelphia mints each with this year’s designs.
- Lowell National Historical Park in Massachusetts
- American Memorial Park in the Northern Mariana Islands
- War in the Pacific National Historical Park in Guam
- San Antonio Missions National Historical Park in Texas
- Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness in Idaho
In addition to this, you will get the Native American $1 coin with the reverse design honoring Native Americans in the United States space program. The design features Mary Golda Ross writing calculations.
Then, of course, you get one sample from each mint of the Kennedy Half Dollar, the Roosevelt Dime, the Jefferson Nickel, and the Lincoln Cent.
Finally, as mentioned, you get the uncirculated sample of the 2019-W Lincoln Cent with this set. The US Mint has been offering the Proof version of the coin with the 2019 Proof set and the Reverse Proof with the 2019 Silver Proof Set and this inclusion with the Uncirculated set completes the program.
As is normally the case with the Uncirculated Set, there are no household limits on the number of sets you can buy nor is there a production limit from the Mint itself.
