Good news for those of you who will be attending the Whitman Summer Expo later this month. NGC will be there and will be accepting regular submissions for coin grading throughout the event.
The Whitman Summer Expo is happening at the Baltimore Convention Center from Thursday May 23 through Noon on Saturday, May 25 During that time, you can go to the NGC Booth (#562) and drop off your coins. NGC notes that cut-off times may change if there is a high volume of coins submitted. All coins submitted will be sent to the company’s offices in Sarasota, Florida for grading.
NGC has posted a special note regarding which coins can and cannot be submitted at the event for grading.
Due to the special handling required, NGC does not accept submissions of the following coins at this show for regular service submissions to be returned to the NGC offices: coins for First/Early Releases designations, coins NGC requires submitted in original Mint sealed packing, coins over 3.5″ (90 mm) in diameter and .39″ (10 mm) in depth, Coin & Chronicles sets, Coin & Currency sets, American Liberty 4-medal set, March of Dimes 3-coin set, West Point 2-coin set, San Francisco 2-coin Proof set, 30th Anniversary Eagles, 25th Anniversary Eagles, 20th Anniversary Eagles, American Liberty Series and 10th Anniversary Platinum Sets. These submissions must be sent directly to Sarasota, FL, by the submitter.

At large coin shows and events such as this one, NGC often sets up a booth for collectors to drop their coins off for grading with the coins returned to them a few weeks later.
