Mint Sales Report – Annual Sets Dominate This Week’s Sales

The United States Mint has released their weekly sales report and it shows that the annual sets from the Mint were the top sellers for the week. The report counts sales for the Mint for the 7-day period ending September 29, 2019.

The top seller for the Mint was the 2019 Proof Set. This annual set sold an impressive 9,592 sets in the last week, pushing its overall sales total to 414,926. The $27.95 set is still readily available on the US Mint’s site as there is no production limit.

A distant second in sales was the 2019 Silver Proof Set. This set had another 4,753 sold in the last week, putting its total for the year at 305,149. Like the non-silver set, this proof set is still readily available on the Mint’s site for $54.95.

Closely behind the Silver Proof Set was the 2019 Uncirculated set. 4,700 of them were sold for the week ending September 29, 2019. That brings its total sales up to 258,805 sets.

The rest of this week’s report is heavily slanted towards 2019 commemoratives with the 2019 American Eagle Silver Proof, 2019-S American Eagle Silver Proof, and the 2019 American Eagle Palladium Reverse Proof all making an appearance. Interestingly however, the 40-coin rolls of the 2018-S Block Island America The Beautiful Quarter was in the top 5 in sales for the week and the 2018 Proof Set also squeezed into the Top 10.

Here then is the complete rundown of the Top 10 selling products for the United States Mint for the 7-day period ending September 29, 2019.
