Denver Coin Expo in May Cancelled Due to COVID-19

The May 2020 Denver Coin Expo is the latest coin show to be cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic. The Expo staff on the show’s site has posted that the May show has been cancelled with plans to continue with the October show. Both shows were slated to take place at the National Western Complex in Denver, Colorado.

Due to unfortunate circumstances surrounding covid19 shut downs and the uncertainty of how things will progress over the next few months, we have been forced to cancel our May spring 2020 Denver Coin Exposition. Plans for our fall show from October 1-3, 2020 are still in place. We hope that all of you stay well during this difficult time and look forward to seeing everyone at our fall exposition!

Best regards,
Denver Coin Expo Staff

The cancellation adds to a long list of both national and international coin shows and exhibitions that have been cancelled or postponed due to the pandemic. Many locations in the United States and around the global are in a Shelter in Place mode in efforts to slow the progress of the virus which has killed over 165,000 people globally, over 41,000 of which have been in the United States.

Currently the Denver October show is scheduled to take place October 1-3, 2020 at the same venue.

Editors Note: The Denver Coin Expo was my “home show” as I live in Colorado, making this particular cancellation a painful one. The Expo is always well attending with dozens of dealers. I always enjoyed the show, particularly the Spring one. Stay safe everyone. Stay home, wear your masks and stay healthy.
