The United States Mint has released its weekly sales report for the week ending July 26, 2020. Unsurprisingly, especially for 2020, the Mint’s latest product has taken the top sales position for the 7-day period. That producing being the 2020 American Innovation Dollar Reverse Proof for Connecticut.
The new Reverse Proof coin, which was made available last Tuesday, topped sales at 24,737. That means roughly half of the 50,000 of these that were minted have already been sold in less than a week of availability for this report. It also puts it well ahead of the sales pace of other American Innovation Reverse Proof coins. In this week’s report, the same coin for Georgia (6th best selling), Pennsylvania (8th best selling), and New Jersey (9th best selling) all are in the top ten, with the Pennsylvania coin the closest to being sold out (43,979 total sold).
The second best selling item for the United States Mint for last week was the 2020-W American Eagle Proof silver 1-ounce coin. Another 8,192 of them were sold, pushing its total sales for the year to 308,726. This was followed by the 2020 Proof Set with 4,336 units sold (316,337 for the year) and the 2020 Silver Proof Set with 3,212 sets sold. That puts its annual total to 240,701. Finally, rounding out the top five in the July 26 report is the 2019 Uncirculated Set. 1,442 of the sets were sold last week, putting its total sales to 333,902.
