The United States Mint has released its weekly sales report for the seven-day period ending January 31, 2021. The report this week was dominated by the slew of new commemorative products that the Mint released on January 28, 2021 while nine of the top ten selling products were 2021 dated products and all were 2021 releases.
In total, the Mint sold 52,665 products for the week ending January 31, 2021.
Unsurprisingly, seven of the top ten selling products were the new commemorative products released by the Mint, lead by the 2021 Christa McAuliffe Proof Silver Dollar. 13,191 of the coins were pre-ordered last week, easily making it the most popular product in this week’s report. A distant second was the 2021 National Law Enforcement Memorial Proof Silver Dollar. It sold 7,696 times in its first few days of availability from the Mint. The third top seller was the 2021 National Law Enforcement Memorial Proof Clad Half Dollar with 7,127 coins sold.
In the fourth top selling position was the 2021 Christa McAuliffe Uncirculated Silver Dollar. 4,863 of the coins were sold last week while the Uncirculated Clad Half Dollar for the 2021 National Law Enforcement Memorial was closely behind with 4,262 coins sold.
Indeed, the only non-2021 dated product was the tenth top seller, the 2020 Maryland American Innovation Dollar Reverse Proof coin. 604 of the coins were sold last week, pushing the total sales for it to just under 31,000.
