The United States Mint has published its weekly numismatic product sales report for the seven day period ending on Sunday, April 4, 2021. Unsurprisingly, it was a slow sales week for the Mint as there were no new products released for purchase for the third consecutive week. Overall, the Mint sold 15,999 numismatic products last week.
In looking at the top ten selling products for the Mint last week, seven of the ten were released this year. Leading sales was the 2021 Proof Set with 7,202 sets sold in the previous week. That puts its total sales now at 219,576. A distant second was the 2021 Christa McAuliffe Proof Silver Dollar. 1,046 of the commemoratives were sold last week, putting its total sales just shy of the thirty thousand mark (29,146). Meanwhile, the 2021 Birth Set rounded out the top three with 462 sets sold last week. That puts its total sales at 12,714 for the year.
Another of the 2021 commemorative coins was the fourth best seller, the National Law Enforcement Memorial Proof Silver Dollar. 415 of these coins were sold last week, putting total sales for it this year over 16,000. The 2021 release parade ended with the top five seller this week, the 2020 American Innovation Dollar Proof Set. 358 of the sets were sold last week.
