The United States Mint has released its weekly numismatic product sales report for the week ending May 30, 2021. The report covers the previous seven days in numismatic product sales by the Mint and is separate from the bullion sales report. The report shows that Mint sold an impressive 374,689 products in the past week, with over 348,000 of those sales coming from the 2021 Morgan Dollar privy mark releases last week.
The top seller was the “O” privy mark 2021 Morgan with 174,325 followed closely by the “CC” privy mark Morgan at 174,235. As readers know, only 175,000 of each of the coins were available but don’t get your hopes up too high that the remaining few hundred will be available for long. The Mint is likely going to do some behind the scenes reconciliation on the sales and remaining inventory – if there is any.
The third and fourth top sellers for the United States Mint for the week of May 30, 2021 were the two annual Proof Set. The 2021 Proof Set was third with 9,543 sets sold, pushing its total sales to over 290,000 (290,708). Meanwhile, the Silver Proof Set continued its strong sales with another 8,156 sets sold last week. That puts its total just shy of two hundred thousand at 199,262. Rounding out the top five sellers was the 2021 Christa McAuliffe Proof Silver Dollar with 1,427 coins sold. That puts the total sales for the commemorative at 39,188.
