The United States Mint has updated its daily bullion sales report through to today, July 5, 2021. The bullion sales report reflects bullion coins that the Mint sold to Authorized Purchasers for the previous week and is different than the weekly numismatic product report. Overall, the report shows that the Mint sold 20,500 bullion coins since the previous report on June 28, 2021.
For several reports now, the Mint has show no sales of silver American Eagle bullion coins and the report for July 5 is no different. Indeed, for this week’s report, no American Eagles, gold or silver, were reported as being sold. This makes six weeks in a row that there have been no silver Eagle sales as the Mint continues production of the new Type-2 coins which are set for release this month. Many of the Mint’s Authorized Purchasers are now listing pre-orders for the Type-2 bullion coin even though it will likely be next week before any receive any physical coins to sell.
The only bullion sales reported in the past week were for the American Buffalo 1-ounce gold coin. 20,500 of the coins were sold to Authorized Purchasers in the past week, accounting for all of the reported bullion sales by the United States Mint.
