The United States Mint has released its weekly numismatic product sales report for the week ending July 4, 2021. The report covers the previous seven days in numismatic product sales by the Mint and is separate from the bullion sales report. The report shows that the Mint sold 10,201 products for the week that ended on July 4 with the top products being this year’s annual proof sets.
Reclaiming the top sales spot for the previous week was the 2021 Proof Set. The standard annual set saw 4,567 units sold in the last week, putting its total sales at 313,962. It was by far the top seller with the second top seller, the 2021 Silver Proof Set, selling a distant 1,459 sets in the last week. For the year, there have now been 210,290 of the premium proof sets sold by the United States Mint.
The third top seller for last week was the 2021 Christa McAuliffe Proof Silver Dollar. 351 of the silver coins were sold last week, putting its total sales for the year at 41,079. Meanwhile, the George H.W. Bush Presidential Dollar 100-Coin bag from Philadelphia took a surprise forth top selling position. 318 of the bags were sold in the last week, just topping the fifth best seller for the week, the 2021 Birth Set, which had 279 sets sold.
