The United States Mint has released its weekly numismatic product sales report for the week ending July 4, 2021. The report covers the previous seven days in numismatic product sales by the Mint and is separate from the bullion sales report. The report shows that the Mint sold 9,784 products for the week that ended on July 11 with the top products being this year’s annual proof sets.
The 2021 Proof Set was by far the top seller for the United States Mint last week, continuing its trend of being the top seller for the Mint most weeks. 2,910 sets were sold in the past week with total sales for the annual set now at 316,872. The number two seller for the Mint last week was the other annual Proof Set offered by the Mint. The 2021 Silver set had 1,727 sets sold last week. That puts its total sales for the year at 212,017.
The third top seller was the 2021 Christa McAuliffe Proof Silver Dollar. The commemorative coin sold another 407 coins last week, putting its total sales at 41,486. The McAuliffe Proof has been the top selling commemorative coin for the Mint this year, far out distancing the other commemorative Proof silver dollar, the 2021 National Law Enforcement Memorial Proof Silver Dollar. That coin did make the top ten list this week. 221 of the coins were sold, putting its total sales at just 22,961.
