Numismatic Guaranty Company™ (NGC®) is excited to announce that Rick Tomaska, owner of R & I Coins and founder of Rare Collectibles TV, has agreed to individually hand-sign certification labels exclusively for NGC.
An authority on US Proof coinage and Franklin Half Dollars, Tomaska authored two books, Cameo and Brilliant Proof Coinage of the 1950 to 1970 Era and The Complete Guide to Franklin Half Dollars, which are reference guides that explore different die varieties.
According to Tomaska, he has hand-selected the coins being encapsulated with the new Tomaska Signature Labels. To help collectors appreciate the importance of these NGC Tomaska Signature coins, NGC will list them separately in its NGC US Coin Price Guide and NGC Census!
“NGC has long been the leader in certification services for coins like these,” said Tomaska. “I am proud to collaborate with NGC to highlight these exceptional coins.”
“NGC is pleased to offer collectors a special way to highlight Proof and other varieties through the Authentic Hand-Signed labels program,” says Mark Salzberg, NGC Chairman. “As always, collectors will also benefit from NGC’s accurate and consistent grading, state-of-the-art holder and industry-leading guarantee of authenticity and grade.”
NGC Authentic Hand-Signed Labels pair a notable person’s autograph with a coin to create a one-of-a-kind collectible. Tomaska joins a diverse roster of NGC Signature Label signers, including David Ryder, 34th and 39th US Mint Director; John Mercanti, 12th US Mint Chief Engraver; and Jennie Norris, designer of the Type-2 Gold Eagle.
Coins with the NGC Rick Tomaska Signature Labels are available online at Rare Collectibles TV or R & I Coins. To learn more about NGC Authentic Hand-Signed Labels, click here.
