The United States Mint has released its weekly numismatic sales report for the seven-day period ending on Sunday, April 17, 2022. The report covers the previous seven days in numismatic product sales by the Mint and is separate from the bullion sales report. This week’s report shows that the Mint sold 528,728 numismatic products last week, over double that of the 233,439 numismatic products in the last week.
For the year, the Mint has now sold 9,676,949 numismatic products to collectors and investors.
Unsurprisingly, the top selling products for the Mint last week were its two newest releases. Taking the top spot was the 2022-W American Eagle Silver Proof with 490,947 coins sold. It was followed by the 2022 Congratulations Set, which has the same American Eagle, at 29,972 sets sold. As readers know, both of these products are now unavailable from the Mint with the Enrollment Program for all American Eagle releases this year filled and consuming much of the available stock.
The third top seller was the 40-coin roll of the 2022-W American Eagle with 3,826 while the 2022 American Women Quarter Program Silver Proof Set continued its strong sales with 1,233 sets sold last week. That puts its total sales for the year at just over 58,000. Rounding out the top five was the 2021 Proof Set.
