United States Mint Numismatic Product Sales Report – August 14, 2022

The United States Mint has released its weekly numismatic sales report for the seven-day period ending on Sunday, August 14, 2022. The report covers the previous seven days in numismatic product sales by the Mint and is separate from the bullion sales report. This week, the Mint reported that it sold 214,281 numismatic products to collectors and investors, most of which were found in the latest product release from the Mint.

The new product release from the Mint last week was the 2022-S American Eagle silver proof. The one-ounce coin had initial sales of 198,946, easily making it the top selling product. The 40-coin roll of the latest Eagle add 722 rolls sold. Added together, that equals 199,668 units sold, accounting for 93% of all sales for the week.

In a distant second sales position was the 2022 Proof Set, ending its three week reign as the top seller. 3,968 sets were sold according to the Mint’s report, pushing sales to over the three-hundred-thousand mark (311,350). Meanwhile, the premium 2022 Silver Proof Set was sales of 2,586 sets, making it the third top seller for the week. In fourth was the 2022 Uncirculated Coin Set with 2,105 sets sold.
