The United States Mint has updated its weekly sales report for the seven days ending Sunday, November 13, 2022. The report covers the previous seven days in numismatic product sales by the Mint and is separate from the bullion sales report. This week’s report shows that the Mint had reported sales of 17,123 numismatic products. The United States Mint has sold 11,202,733 numismatic products to collectors for the year. In this week’s report, nine of the top ten selling products were released this year.
Taking the top sales position in this week’s report was the 2022 Proof Set. The standard annual proof set had sales of 6,454 units in the past week, pushing total sales for the set to 388,697. It was followed, distantly, by the premium 2022 Silver Proof Set. The Mint reported that 2,010 of the sets were sold last week. That puts its total sales since its release at 214,684. Rounding out the top three in sales was the 2022 Uncirculated Coin Set with 1,735 sets sold in the past week.
The fourth top seller for the United States Mint last week was the 2022 Limited Edition Silver Proof Set. According to the Mint’s report, 1,080 of the sets were sold, putting total sales at 33,611. Calculated out, that means the Mint still has just over 16,000 of this premium set available for purchase. The exceptionally high price of the set is likely the reason behind that availability. Closing out the top five in sales was the 2022 American Liberty Silver Medal with 362 medals sold in the past week.
