The United States Mint has released its weekly Numismatic Product Sales Report for the seven-day period ending Sunday, December 4, 2022. The report covers numismatic product sales, such as commemorative coins and annual sets, by the Mint. It is separate from the bullion sales report. According to this week’s report, the Mint sold 24,416 numismatic products to investors and collectors in the past week.
For 2022, the United States Mint has sold 11.304 million numismatic products.
According to the Mint’s report, annual product sets continued to lead the way, taking seven of the top ten selling product positions in overall sales. Topping sales was the 2022 Uncirculated Coin Set, with 5,864 sets sold in the past week. It was closely followed by the premium 2022 Silver Proof Set, with 5,846 sets sold. The latest Mint release, the 2022 American Innovation Dollar Reverse Proof Set, rounds out the top three. The set had reported sales of 1,604 sets, pushing total sales to 42,603.
The 2022 Limited Edition Silver Proof Set was the fourth top seller for the Mint last week, remaining available weeks after its initial release. According to the Mint’s report, 1,135 sets were sold, putting total sales at just over thirty-seven thousand. That translate to approximately 13,000 sets remaining available for purchase. The 2022 American Innovation Dollar Proof Set ranked among the top five in sales, with 895 sets sold in the last week.
