The United States Mint will begin sales of the Jovita Idar American Women Quarter next week. The Mint will make available 100-coin bags and 40-coin rolls of the latest quarter in the series on August 15th at Noon Eastern. The Jovita Idar quarter is the fourth of five coins in the series to be released this year.
Jovita Idár was a Mexican American journalist, activist, teacher, and suffragist. She devoted her life to fighting against separatist ideologies and sought to create a better future for Mexican Americans. Idar sought to empower Mexican-American women and provide quality children’s education.
On release day, the Mint will have five products available for purchase:
- 100-Coin Bag (Philadelphia) – $45.00
- 100-Coin Bag (Denver) – $45.00
