The United States Mint has released its weekly Numismatic Product Sales Report for the seven days ending Sunday, August 27, 2023. The report covers numismatic product sales by the Mint, such as commemorative coins and annual sets. It is separate from the bullion sales report. According to the Mint’s report, an impressive 208,410 numismatic products were sold in the past week to collectors and investors. The top ten selling products were largely new releases for the Mint in the previous week.
Last week’s far-and-away top-selling product for the United States Mint was the 2023 Silver Proof Set. The premium proof set had reported sales of 158,077 sets on debut. Another new release, the Andrew Johnson Presidential Silver Medal, followed, with 12,958 medals sold on debut. Rounding out the top three selling products was yet another new release, the 2023 Mississippi American Innovation 25-Coin Roll (P), with 6,953 rolls sold.
