United States Mint Bullion Sales Report – October 15, 2023

The United States Mint has updated its daily bullion sales report through Sunday, October 15, 2023. The bullion sales report reflects bullion American Eagle and American Buffalo coins that the Mint sold to Authorized Purchasers for the previous week and is different than the weekly numismatic product report. The Mint reported 791,000 bullion coin sales in the past week, with reported sales across five of the seven products available for purchase by Authorized Purchasers.

As is usually the case, last week’s top-selling bullion product for the United States Mint was the one-ounce silver American Eagle. 751,000 of the coins were sold last week, accounting for 95% of all sales for the week. For 2023, the Mint reports that 19.445 million silver American Eagles have been sold to Authorized Purchasers.

Turning to the gold American Eagle products, the Mint reported sales of four of the five available products had reported sales. They were led by the one-ounce gold Eagle with 21,000 coins sold, followed by the 1/25th-ounce (6,000) and 1/10th-ounce (5,000). There were no reported sales of the 1/2-ounce gold Eagle, nor the one-ounce Platinum Eagle.

Rounding out the report was the American Buffalo gold coin. According to the Mint’s report, 8,000 of the one-ounce Buffalos were sold last week, putting total sales for the year at 352,000 coins.
