The United States Mint has released its weekly Numismatic Product Sales Report for the seven days ending Sunday, October 15, 2023. The report covers numismatic product sales by the Mint, such as commemorative coins and annual sets. It is separate from the bullion sales report. According to the Mint’s report, 198,624 numismatic products were sold in the past week, with a large percentage of those sales coming from the Mint’s latest product release, the 2023-S American Eagle silver proof.
The latest release in the American Eagle series sold 180,104 coins in its first week of availability. The one-ounce silver Eagle accounted for 97% of all sales for the week. In a distant second, with 5,364 sets sold, was the 2023 Proof Set. The premium 2023 Silver Proof Set was among the top three, with 2,279 sets sold. Of particular note is the 40-coin roll of the 2023-S American Eagle Silver Proof, which also made the top ten in sales.
Here are last week’s top ten selling products for the United States Mint. Note that all but one product, the 2022 Uncirculated Coin Set, are 2023 releases by the United States Mint.
