The United States Mint has updated its daily bullion sales report through Sunday, October 22, 2023. The bullion sales report reflects bullion American Eagle and American Buffalo coins that the Mint sold to Authorized Purchasers for the previous week and is different than the weekly numismatic product report. The Mint reported 800,500 bullion coin sales in the past week, with reported sales across six of the seven products available for purchase by Authorized Purchasers.
Last week, the silver American Eagle was the top-selling bullion product to Authorized Purchasers. Total sales of the one-ounce silver Eagle were 751,000, or 91% of all sales reported by the Mint. The additional sales put total sales for 2023 at just over 20 million coins.
All four gold American Eagle products had reported sales, led by the one-ounce gold Eagle with 24,000 coins sold. The one-ounce platinum Eagle was the only American Eagle bullion product without reported sales.
Turning to the American Buffalo, the Mint reported that 7,500 of the one-ounce gold coins were sold last week. That puts total sales for this year at 360,000 coins.
