The United States Mint has released its weekly Numismatic Product Sales report for the seven days ending Sunday, November 10, 2024. The report covers the Mint’s numismatic product sales, such as commemorative coins and annual sets. It is separate from the bullion sales report. The Mint reported net sales of 41,041 numismatic products in the last week. All of the products in the top ten list were releases from 2024.
Unsurprisingly, last week, the Mint’s top-selling product was also its newest release. The 2024 Limited Edition Silver Proof Set led all sales with 17,682 sets reportedly sold. It means that nearly 20% of all sets available were sold in the first week. It is impressive, considering the cost of the set.
Ironically, last week, the second top seller for the United States Mint is a product that has not been officially released. The 2024 Moran and Peace Silver Dollar Reverse Proof 2-Coin Set is scheduled for release on November 21st. However, the Mint has already set aside the sets for those who are a part of the Mint’s subscription program. The report indicates that 7,509 sets were “sold” last week. The total represents a small percentage of the 262,500 sets that will be available. Rounding out the top three for the Mint’s sales report was the 2024 Proof Set. The standard annual proof set saw sales of 4,738 sets last week, putting its total sales at 318,804 since its release in March.
