After its meeting yesterday via teleconference, the Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee (CCAC) has released the candidate design images for the 2024 Harriet Tubman commemorative coins. The 2024 Harriet Tubman commemoratives will consist of a $5 gold coin, a $1 silver dollar, and a copper-nickel “clad” half dollar. The United States Mint has released its Circulating Coin Production Report for March 2023, showing that 1.187 billion coins were produced for circulation across the nation’s Mint facilities. Across the various denominations, only the Lincoln Cent had a lower month-over-month production, with overall coinage production up 187 million over the February 2023 report. The bullion sales report reflects bullion American Eagle and American Buffalo coins that the Mint sold to Authorized Purchasers for the previous week and is different than the weekly numismatic product report.
