The United States Mint has quietly updated its Leadership Page, reflecting the appointing of Alison Doone as Acting Director. Mrs. Doone assumed the role effective today after the resignation of Mint Director Ryder. The change was effective today. Mrs. Doone will be the new Acting Director of the Mint. The United States Mint will begin sales of the 2021 Limited Edition Silver Proof Set starting today. Sales will begin on the Mint’s website at Noon Eastern, 9:00 AM Pacific. The set, priced at $235, consists of six coins, all of which are minted in 99% silver. Only 50,000 of the sets will be made available with a household limit of one set when sales begin next week.
