Counterfeit Coins Importer Sentenced to 10½ Years in Prison

The Anti-Counterfeiting Educational Foundation, ACEF, has announced the sentencing of Johnathan A. Kirschener, a counterfeit coins importer. Mr. Kirschener was sentenced to 10.5 years in prison for selling the coins as well as impersonating an agent of the ATF. Coin Counterfeiter Sentenced to 30 Months in Prison

Minnesota coin dealer Barry Ron Skog, who ran a mail-order company, was sentenced to 30 months in federal prison on Tuesday, July 9th. He was accused of carrying out a counterfeit coin fraud scheme in multiple states. The U.S. District Court also orders Skog to pay restitution to his victims.
