The United States Mint has released its sales report for the 7-day period ending August 24, 2019. It shows that the 2019-S American Eagle silver Proof continues its strong start while the annual Proof and Uncirculated sets continue their strong sales that has happened over the summer months.
The 2019-S American Eagle silver Proof added another impressive 23,026 units to its sales total, which now sits at 107,132. That is a solid start for a coin released just two weeks ago and shows that the American Eagle series continues to be a popular option for collectors. The second best seller for the Mint this past week was the 2019 Proof Set. This set has been in the top 10 in sales every week since it was released and added another 3,190 sales to its total. That pushes the overall sales total to 390,398.
The third best seller was the recently released 2019 American Liberty Silver Medal. 3,076 of them were sold this past week, bringing its total sales to just shy of 19,000 (18,958). In forth is the new Apollo 11 50th Anniversary Proof Silver Dollar and Kennedy-Apollo Intaglio Print. It sold 2570 in its first week of availability.
One interesting note in the Top 10 this week was the return of the 2019 Pride of Two Nations set. This limited production set was released back in June and had a production limit of 100,000. It has gone back and forth between being available and unavailable on the Mint’s site. This week’s report shows that 1,095 of them were sold with 98,967 of them sold overall. That means just 1,033 of them remain – which also means you have a shot at still getting one.
