If you had any doubts of the popularity of the United States Mint’s America The Beautiful Quarter program, one again this week’s sales figures should put those to rest. The Mint has released its sales report for the 7-day period ending September 1, 2019. As expected, the new San Antonio Missions Quarter products dominated the top 10 in the report.
Virtually every product the Mint began offering on the new quarter was in the top ten in sales this week, lead by the 5-ounce silver bullion coin. 12,169 of them were sold in its first week of availability. It was by far the biggest seller for the week, with the second place product, the 40-coin Roll for the new Quarter from the San Francisco Mint some 6,262 units behind in sales. The 2019-S roll sold 5,907 for its first week in sales.
In third place this week, with 5,005 units sold, is the 2-roll set of the new quarter with the P (Philadelphia) and D (Denver) mint marks. This relegated the always present 2019 Proof Set to forth this week. Overall, 2,868 of the annual set were sold last week, pushing its total sales to 393,266. It seems almost inevitable that the set will pass the 400,000 units sold mark before the end of September.
Rounding out the top five selling items was the 100-coin bag of the San Antonio Missions quarter from the San Francisco mint. It sold 2,710 units in its first week of availability.
Here then is the Top 10 list for the week ending September 1, 2019. I actually included 11 items in this week’s table as the 100-coin bags of the new Quarter from Philadelphia and Denver were close for that last place.

For those that are curious, which it seems to be the case given I got a couple of emails on it this week, the Pride of Two Nations two-coin set is nearly completely sold out. Another 758 were sold this past week, pushing the total sales to 99,725.
The United States Mint’s sales figures are public record and are available each week. They start from the previous Sunday through to the next seven days. You can find the report each week at this link.
