Mint Sales Report – America The Beautiful Quarters Abound

The latest United States Mint sales report has been released and it shows that America the Beautiful Quarters, both from 2018 and 2019, were a hot item. The report covers the 7-day period ending September 8, 2019. It covers sales of all Mint products for that time period.

Interestingly, the top seller for the week was the 2018 Cumberland Island 40-coin roll (S) Quarters. It added an impressive 4,480 units in the past week, more than doubling its overall sales total. It isn’t completely unheard of for a previous ATB quarters to get some “afterglow” when a new coin is released in the series. But to top the charts is a bit rare. Interestingly, this wasn’t the only 2018 ATB to show up in this week’s report. The 2018 Block Island 40-Coin roll (S) was also in the report at #4, adding 2,908 units in sales.

In second position as far as sales for the Mint was the 2019 Proof Set. It added another 3,781 units in the week, bringing its total sales to 397,047. If it replicates that sales total this week, it will break past the 400,000 sales marker.

In third position in sales was the 2019 American Liberty Silver Medal. This added another 2,992 medals to its sales total, which now sits at 23,625. That is a solid sales figure for a medal from the US Mint.

Here then is the complete Top 10 sellers for the Mint for the week ending September 8, 2019.
