With 2020 coin designs fundamentally set, the Citizens Coinage Advisory Council, or CCAC, has now turned its attention to 2021. This past week the council met and have now released the 2021 American Liberty 24K gold coin and silver medal candidates. A whopping 68 candidate images were released on October 15, 2019 with a series of trimming down meetings to be held in 2020. A final design recommendation will come mid-to-late 2020 from the council to the United States Treasury.
The candidates released by CCAC are for the Reverse of the 2021 24K gold coin and silver medal. The Obverse of the coin is not scheduled to be changed. You can see the Obverse of the coin on the 2019 American Liberty here. Bare in mind that the designs are for the High Relief limited coins that are minted annually by the United States Mint.

As a general rule, the United States Mint limits production of the American Liberty high relief gold coin and silver medal to 50,000 units and that is not expected to change in 2021.
