The United States Mint has released its weekly sales report to the public. The report covers the last seven days of sales for the Mint, ending November 1, 2020. As expected, the recently released Massachusetts American Innovation Dollar products had a strong showing in their first week of sales while annual sets and bullion products remained strong sellers.
Take the top selling product honors for the week was the 2020 Proof Set. The standard set from the Mint sold 8,390 sets last week which puts its total just shy of four hundred thousand sets sold. At the time of the report, 399,026 sets have been sold in 2020.
The second and third top selling products where the 25-coin rolls of the new Massachusetts American Innovation Dollar. The rolls and bags for the latest in the American Innovation Series were released on October 29th and indeed, all four products released that day made it into the top ten sales list. The coin roll from Philadelphia saw 5,259 units sold while the Denver roll had a sales total of 4,738. Looking down the list further, the Denver 100-coin bag for the Massachusetts dollar was the fifth top seller with 2,316 bags sold and the 100-coin bag from Philadelphia was the seventeenths best selling product with 2,005 bags sold.
The 2020 American Innovation Dollar Proof Set continued its strong showing in its second week of availability. 3,900 of the sets were sold last week, putting its total at 54,937 since its release. That puts the set nearly to the halfway point of the total sales of the 2019 set. That set so far has sold 110,501 times and continues to be available from the Mint’s site.
