United States Mint Sales Report – October 24, 2021

The United States Mint has released its weekly numismatic product sales report for the week ending October 24, 2021. The report covers the previous seven days in numismatic product sales by the Mint and is separate from the bullion sales report. The report shows that the Mint sold 21,591 numismatic products last week, down from the nearly 73,000 it sold in the previous week’s report. For the year, the United States Mint has now sold 10,535,824 products to collectors.

The top selling product for the Mint last week was the 2021 Proof Set. The annual set added another 6,455 sets to its sales total. That sales total is now at 382,500 for the year. Meanwhile, the 2021 Uncirculated Coin Set took the second best sellers position with 5,154 sets sold. That pushes its sales total to 164,759, far out pacing the 2020 set’s sales. Last year, the Uncirculated Coin Set had a sales total of 211,787. With nearly 165,000 in just a few weeks, the 2021 set should easily outsell its predecessor.

The third top selling product for the Mint last week was a new product, the 2021 United States Mint Ornament. In its initial week of availability, it registered sales of 2,869 units according to the Mint’s report. Additionally, the 2021 Might Minters Ornament, which was released on the American day, was the fifth top seller with 2,283 sold. Splitting the ornament sales was the 2021 Silver Proof Set. It had another 2,293 sets sold last week, pushing its total sales to over 240,000 for the year (240,505).
