United States Mint Sales Report – October 31, 2021

The United States Mint has released its weekly numismatic product sales report for the week ending October 31, 2021. The report covers the previous seven days in numismatic product sales by the Mint and is separate from the bullion sales report. The report shows that the Mint sold 16,931 numismatic products last week, down from the nearly 22,000 in last week’s report.

With scheduled releases now slowing down for the Mint, annual products have bubbled back up to the top of the top ten sales chart. This week, three annual releases topped the sales charts by a considerable margin. the top seller was the 2021 Proof Set with 7,278 sets sold. That puts the set’s sales total for the year at 389,778. That is still behind the 465,000 the mint sold last year but with two months remaining, it is possible it will beat last year’s total. Meanwhile, the premium annual proof set, the 2021 Silver Proof Set, also had a strong week in sales. 2,054 of these sets were sold last week, pushing the sales total for the set to 242,559 for the year. That too is training last year’s sales total of 313,246 but is within striking distance. Rounding out the top three in sales was the 2021 American Innovation Dollar Proof Set. This recent release had 1,966 sets sold last week. That addition puts its sales total at 56,267.

The fourth top seller was the recently released 2021 United States Mint Ornament. This annual holiday release was reported to have 521 sold last week. Rounding out the top five was another annual release, the 2021 Birth Set. 465 of these were sold last week according to the Mint.
