The United States Mint has updated its daily bullion sales report to Sunday, November 21, 2021. The bullion sales report reflects bullion coins that the Mint sold to Authorized Purchasers for the previous week and is different than the weekly numismatic product report. This week’s report shows that the Mint sold 577,000 bullion coins to Authorized Purchasers in the past week, up significantly from he just over 68,000 sold in last week’s report.
Unsurprisingly, the top seller was the one ounce silver American Eagle. 524,500 of the bullion coins were sold last week to Authorized Purchasers. This puts its total sales for 2021 at 27,750,500. This is the only bullion product sold by the United States Mint that has not surpassed its sales total from 2020. Meanwhile, the one ounce gold American Eagle had another strong week of sales. 29,500 of the bullion coins were sold last week according to the Mint’s report. That pushes sales for the year over the one million mark at 1,022,000.
The half-ounce American Eagle saw 2,000 coins sold last week according to the Mint’s report while the 1/10th ounce also had good sales of 10,000 coins. The 1/25th ounce and the platinum one ounce Eagle did not have any recorded sales last week.
Finally, turning to the the one ounce American Buffalo gold coin, 11,000 were sold by the Mint last week, putting total sales for the year at 327,000.
