The United States Mint has updated its weekly bullion sales report for the week ending Sunday, August 21, 2022. The bullion sales report reflects bullion American Eagle and American Buffalo coins that the Mint sold to Authorized Purchasers for the previous week and is different than the weekly numismatic product report. According to this week’s report, the United States Mint sold just 27,500 bullion coins in the past week to Authorized Purchasers. This is down just significantly from last week’s report where the Mint reported sales of nearly a half million bullion coins.
Of the American Eagle bullion coin products, only two had sales according to this week’s report. First was the silver, one-ounce Eagle with 17,000 coins sold. This was followed by the gold one-ounce Eagle with 6,000 coins reportedly sold. None of the fractional gold Eagles nor the one-ounce Platinum Eagle had sales in the past week.
The one-ounce American Buffalo gold coin was the only other coin reporting sales with 4,500 coins sold in the last week.
