The United States Mint has updated its weekly bullion sales report for the week ending Sunday, August 14, 2022. The bullion sales report reflects bullion American Eagle and American Buffalo coins that the Mint sold to Authorized Purchasers for the previous week and is different than the weekly numismatic product report. According to this week’s report, the United States Mint sold 454,500 bullion coins in the past week to Authorized Purchasers. This is down just slightly from last week’s report.
In this week’s report, the Mint reported sales of all American Eagle bullion products as well as the American Buffalo. The top seller, as is usually the case, was the one-ounce silver American Eagle with 408,000 coins reported sold. The one-ounce gold American Eagle was the second top seller with 21,000 coins sold. All of the fractional gold Eagles had reported sales in the week as did the one-ounce platinum Eagle.
As for the American Buffalo, 6,500 were reported sold. That pushes total sales for the year of the Buffalo to over 300,000 (305,500).
