The United States Mint has updated its weekly sales report for the seven day period ending Sunday, October 16, 2022. The report covers the previous seven days in numismatic product sales by the Mint and is separate from the bullion sales report. This week’s report shows that the Mint had reported sales of 9,913 numismatic products to collectors, bringing total sales of the year to 11,083,907 products.
The top three selling products for the Mint last week were all annual sets released this year. The 2022 Proof Set was the top seller with 4,456 sets sold with the 2022 Silver Proof Set in second with 1,722 sets sold. Rounding out the top three was the 2022 Uncirculated Coin Set with 1,512 sets sold.
The fourth best seller for the Mint last week was the 2022 National Purple Heart Hall of Honor Proof Silver Dollar. The commemorative had been limited in availability for much of this year. The Mint announced last week it was available once more and collectors seemingly responding with the purchase of 442 of the coins last week. Finishing up the top five in sales was the 2022 American Innovation Dollar Proof Set with 322 sets sold.
