The United States Mint has updated its daily bullion sales report to Sunday, August 15, 2021. The bullion sales report reflects bullion coins that the Mint sold to Authorized Purchasers for the previous week and is different than the weekly numismatic product report. This week’s report shows that the Mint sold 1,036,500 bullion coins to Authorized Purchasers last week. That is up from the 646,000 sold in last week’s summary report.
The highest purchased bullion product from the Mint last week was the silver American Eagle. The one ounce coin had 968,500 coins sold in the past week. For 2021, there have now been 20.5915 million silver Eagle’s sold to Authorized Purchasers. the gold American Eagle one ounce coin also enjoyed solid sales this week. 39,500 of the coins were sold to Purchasers, putting its sales total just shy of seven-hundred thousand (689,000).
The only fractional American Eagle sold last week was the 1/10th ounce gold Eagle. 15,000 coins were sold last week. There were no reported sales of the 1/2 ounce, 1/25th ounce gold Eagles nor any of the Platinum Eagles.
Turning to the American Buffalo gold one ounce coin, it continued its slow but steady sales pace for 2021. 13,500 of the coins were purchased last week. That puts its sales total for 2021 at 224,500 coins.
