In a surprise change to the production schedule for 2021, the United States Mint will begin sales of the 2021 Christa McAuliffe Commemorative Dollar later this week, on January 28th. Sales will begin at Noon Eastern, 9:00 AM Pacific and the commemorative will only be available directly from the United States Mint. The United States Mint has released the official images of the upcoming 2021 Christa McAuliffe Commemorative coin. This follows the release of the line art for the coin earlier this month. The coin commemoratives the Mrs. McAuliffe, the first selected educator in the Teacher in Space Program in the 1980s. The United States Mint has released the line art for the 2021 National Law Enforcement Memorial and Museum commemorative coins. These designs were selected from the candidate designs released by CCAC back in September. The set of commemoratives will consist of a $5 gold coin, a silver Dollar coin, and a clad Half Dollar coin, all with unique designs.
