Good news this morning from the Numismatic Crime Information Center (NCIC). Several coins that were reported stolen back in June 2020 from Greenwood Village, Colorado have been recovered. NCIC Reports Theft of Rare 1871 Seated Liberty Dollar

The Numismatic Crime Information Center (NCIC) has reported the theft of a rare 1871 Seated Liberty Dollar that is PCGS grade PF-65+. The coin, valued at well over $4000 thanks to its high grade and CAC designation, was apparently taking by a “porch pirate”. The Numismatic Crime Information Center (NCIC) is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing FedEx package that contains multiple gold coins. The package was shipped via FedEx from Texas and was on its way to Florida. It’s last known location, according to the shipping company, was the Memphis, TN hub. Good news this morning from the Numismatic Crime Information Center (NCIC). The contents of a United States Postal Service package that was stolen in August 2020 have been recovered. The coins appeared on a Canadian auction site and have now been recovered. USCoinNews first reported the theft in September 2020.
