The United States Mint has released its Circulating Coin Production Report for September 2023. The report indicates that the Mint produced just 546.03 million coins last month, a 47% decrease from the reported production in August. While slowdowns in production are expected towards the end of each year, the month-over-month drop is one of the sharper declines in the past several years. The United States Mint has released its Circulating Coin Production Report for August 2023. The report shows that the United States Mint produced 1.03 billion coins in August. This is a slight drop from the 1.139 billion it produced in July. Indeed, all circulating coinage produced by the Mint saw a drop in month-over-month production other than the Kennedy Half Dollar.
